Wavve's New Original Show 'Betting on Fact' Unveils First Teaser
The show features eight contestants living in isolation, tasked with discerning real news from fake in a reality news game show format. The cast includes comedian Jang Dong-min, comedian Lee Yong-jin, professor Jin Joong-kwon, broadcaster Jung Young-jin, singer and actress Ye-won, political YouTuber Hellmouse, former Democratic Party Supreme Council member Park Sung-min, and former People Power Party spokesperson Kang Jeon-ae.
Contestants will engage in intense debates and strategies to win, offering a unique blend of intellectual entertainment as they differentiate between fake and real news. The show promises to deliver a fresh and immersive experience.
The first teaser hints at fierce talk battles among the players. In the teaser, Jang Dong-min and Park Sung-min engage in a heated debate over 'military service bonus points', capturing viewers' attention. It also showcases a one-on-one debate between Jin Joong-kwon and Hellmouse. In a pre-interview, Hellmouse criticized Jin, saying, "As a critic, isn't he done? I think he's gone to the 'hardcore conservative' side." This sets the stage for a tense confrontation at the debate table.
The show also highlights the distinct characters of the eight players. Jang Dong-min, a four-time survival show winner, is portrayed as a 'dominant player' who designs the game. Lee Yong-jin is a 'strategic player' who turns the tables when others are off guard. Jin Joong-kwon is a 'logical player' who overwhelms opponents with logic, while Jung Young-jin is a 'big data player' who dominates with information. Hellmouse aims to win as an 'analytical player' who dismantles fake news with fact-checking.
Ye-won is an 'emotional player' who shakes up the game with unexpected moves. Park Sung-min is an 'aggressive player' who pushes through to the end, and Kang Jeon-ae is a 'hexagonal player' with both experience and logic, promising a strong presence.
'Betting on Fact' premieres on the 27th and is exclusively available on Wavve.
