Director Jang Hang-jun, who has surpassed 12 million viewers with his film 'The King and the Clown,' shared his candid thoughts on the film's success.

On the 11th, the YouTube channel 'Vivo TV' featured a surprise phone call between Song Eun-i, Kim Sook, and Director Jang Hang-jun. The two hosts congratulated Director Jang on his film's impressive box office milestone.

Song Eun-i expressed her joy, saying, "There are many celebrations at Vivo these days," while Kim Sook showed her support by stating, "I'll go to the theater to watch it today."

When asked about his feelings on earning the title of 'million director,' Jang Hang-jun admitted it still feels unreal. He remarked, "Sometimes I wonder if I'll wake up and find it was all a dream," and added, "It's amazing that this is actually happening," with a laugh.

Song Eun-i offered heartfelt congratulations, saying, "It seems your warm sensibility has truly resonated with the audience."

The conversation naturally shifted to the topic of profits. When Kim Sook asked if he made a lot of money as a 'million director,' Jang Hang-jun humorously replied, "I didn't expect it to do so well, so I only invested a little. Looking back, it's a shame. I could have built a big building in front of the Vivo office."

Questions about a sequel also arose. Director Jang jokingly suggested, "The story could start with Eom Heung-do hiding after escaping, and another king being exiled," hinting at a potential 'The King and the Clown 2,' which brought laughter to the scene.

He also shared the reactions of his closest colleague and wife, writer Kim Eun-hee. Director Jang said, "Eun-hee and our daughter check the movie's score every day and are delighted. It's amazing to experience such days in life, and I'm grateful," adding a heartwarming touch.

Meanwhile, 'The King and the Clown' has recently surpassed 12 million viewers, marking the highest box office record for a Korean film in the past two years.
