Um Hyun-kyung Returns to TV with New Drama 'Our Happy Days'
The new KBS 1TV daily drama 'Our Happy Days' is scheduled to premiere on the 30th. It is a family melodrama that explores the explosive dynamics between a seemingly perfect man and a clumsy woman, as various generations strive to become the 'main character of their own lives.'
Directed by Lee Jae-sang, known for his warm and detailed storytelling in 'Once Again' and 'Father is Strange,' and written by Nam Sun-hye, who showcased her trendy writing in 'Our Suzy' and 'Amor Fati - Love, Now,' 'Our Happy Days' has already garnered attention ahead of its first broadcast.
The first teaser, released on the 9th, highlights the stark character contrast between Go Gyeol (played by Yoon Jong-hoon) and Jo Eun-ae (played by Um Hyun-kyung), offering a blend of humor and poignant moments.
In contrast, Go Gyeol, a team leader at Kangsu Construction's Strategic Planning Division, questions Jo Eun-ae's impulsive actions with, "Do you think rushing in like this will solve anything?" His statement, "I will return to my place," suggests a hidden backstory, adding tension to the narrative.
Go Gyeol's exclamation, "Who was it that gave me a nosebleed with a flying kick?" hints at the unusual chemistry between the two. Despite vowing never to get involved again, Go Gyeol catches Jo Eun-ae in a waltz-like embrace as she stumbles, sparking anticipation for their romance. The story of Go Gyeol and Jo Eun-ae, navigating between fate and chance, is expected to bring delightful humor to viewers.
'Our Happy Days' will premiere on the 30th, following 'Marie and Her Strange Dads.'
