On the morning of the 11th, a press conference for MBN's survival program 'The King of Singers 3' was held at the Stanford Hotel Korea in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul. The event was attended by the TOP7 contestants, including Hong Ji-yoon, Cha Ji-yeon, Lee Soo-yeon, Koo Soo-kyung, Kang Hye-yeon, and Solji. Kim Tae-yeon was absent due to school commitments.
During the event, Hong Ji-yoon revealed, "The decisive reason for my participation in this competition was the recent passing of one of my fans who was battling cancer."
She continued, "The fan passed away just before the 'The King of Singers 3' competition. They continued to vote for me until the very end. There are many people around us who are unwell or facing difficulties. I wanted to offer them a stage of comfort and solace."
After securing the final victory, Hong Ji-yoon expressed her gratitude, saying, "After the stage, I was thankful to my fans who have shown me so much love and to the production team who worked hard on each performance."
Meanwhile, 'The King of Singers 3' is an entertainment program showcasing the powerful performances of 'K-Active Queens' that captivated the world. The finale, which aired on the 10th, saw Hong Ji-yoon crowned as the winner, earning the grand prize of 100 million won.
