Kim Kwang-kyu Reunites with Former On-Screen Wife on 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2'

Actor Kim Kwang-kyu made a special appearance on the October 10th episode of SBS's variety show 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 - You Are My Destiny'.

The 58-year-old bachelor humorously expressed his confusion about being invited to the show, saying, "'Same Bed, Different Dreams' doesn't really suit me, but I don't know why they keep calling me. It's just a situation where I have to be envious." He then vowed, "Today, I won't say I'm envious, even if it kills me," eliciting laughter.

Kim revealed that he decided to appear on the show for his former on-screen wife, Yoon Yoo-sun, with whom he starred in the 2014 drama 'Wonderful Days'. In the drama, they played a married couple, and Kim shared, "We were a lovey-dovey couple back then. I came to support her because of that connection."

As Yoon Yoo-sun and her husband Lee Sung-ho celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on the show, Kim commented, "The couple was so entertaining. After watching them eat red bean porridge, I went to a convenience store to buy instant porridge." Yoon responded, "Why eat convenience store food? It's a bit sad," showing her sympathy.

Kim also surprised everyone by revealing, "Yoon Yoo-sun was my first bed scene partner." He added, "We didn't lie down; we just sat on the bed. Bed is 'bed' in English, right? We filmed on the bed," he joked. Yoon laughed, saying, "I don't even remember."

Despite his extensive acting career, Kim confessed, "I've never actually filmed a bed scene." When Yoon asked, "Am I the only one?" Kim Gu-ra chimed in, "Would a director really need to include such a scene?"

Kim confidently claimed he would marry before fellow single actor Lee Seo-jin, stating, "Lee Seo-jin is a non-marriage advocate. He has zero interest in marriage. It's like competing with someone who doesn't play the game. I'm also a better cook than him. It takes time, but when I do cook, it's delicious."

Yoon then asked, "Why did you refuse when I tried to introduce you to someone during 'Hot Singers'?" Kim appeared flustered by his former on-screen wife's sudden revelation. Seo Jang-hoon commented, "He has high standards. He's surprisingly picky," to which Kim retorted, "Is this what the show is about? It doesn't suit me," grumbling.
