Yang Joon-hyuk and Wife Reveal Heartbreaking Loss of Twin Son During Pregnancy
On the October 8th episode of KBS2's variety show 'The Boss Has Donkey Ears' (also known as 'Sadangwi'), Yang Joon-hyuk and his wife made an appearance.
Yang introduced their 12-month-old daughter, Lee Jae, who has just started walking. Proudly, he mentioned, "My daughter has a strong grip." At 55, Yang became a father for the first time and noted that he would be 75 when his daughter enters college.
Yang expressed his desire for a second child. When host Park Myung-soo suggested, "You should have a son," Yang replied, "I want to have one more." Friends and family have also encouraged him to have a son and introduce him to baseball.
Yang invited his in-laws over, and during their conversation, the topic of marriage and pregnancy came up. A relative of Park Hyun-sun asked, "Don't you want a second child?" Park Hyun-sun revealed, "We were expecting twins, but we lost one. It was a boy. It's unfortunate."
Yang Joon-hyuk added, "My main concern was Hyun-sun. I've been through a lot, so I could handle it, but I worried about her getting hurt. Thankfully, she seemed more mature than me at that time." Park Hyun-sun emphasized, "Meeting a healthy baby is what's important."
Watching the video in the studio, Yang Joon-hyuk wiped away tears. He expressed gratitude to his wife, saying, "I'm thankful to my wife for not showing her pain. I love you, honey. Let's raise Lee Jae well. You're the best."
