Emotional Moment: Yang Joon-hyuk Breaks Down in Tears on 'The Boss Has Donkey Ears'
In the 347th episode airing today, viewers will see Yang Joon-hyuk moving to an apartment in Pohang, just 10 minutes away from his fish farm. During the episode, Yang expresses his deep affection for his 13-month-old daughter, Lee Jae, and is moved to tears.
Making her first appearance on 'The Boss Has Donkey Ears,' Lee Jae shows a striking resemblance to her father, Yang Joon-hyuk. She kisses a fish doll, just like her dad, and demonstrates impressive grip strength, showcasing her inherited traits. When Lee Jae tightly holds a picture frame, Jeon Hyun-moo remarks, “She has her dad’s DNA,” to which Yang proudly responds, “Our Lee Jae has incredible grip strength,” revealing that she grabbed a baseball during her first birthday celebration, sparking hopes of a future female baseball star.
Amidst the joyful moments, Yang Joon-hyuk shares a heartbreaking confession that turns the studio into a sea of tears. He reveals, “My wife conceived twins through IVF, but we lost our son.” He describes the immense joy they felt upon learning about the twin pregnancy, only to face the sorrow of losing one child as the heartbeat grew weaker with each hospital visit.
Yang’s wife shares her own struggles, saying, “I wanted to protect at least one of the two. I couldn’t express it, but the anxiety was overwhelming until the very end.” This revelation brings Yang to tears.
Despite the fear of losing the remaining child, Lee Jae was born healthy, bringing tears of relief and joy to Yang. Listening to Lee Jae’s ultrasound and heartbeat, Yang is overwhelmed with emotion.
Yang Joon-hyuk expresses his heartfelt love for his wife and daughter, admitting, “I’m not good at expressing affection, but I’m so grateful to my wife for enduring everything silently.” He adds, “I love my wife and our only daughter so much. Let’s raise Lee Jae well. My wife is the best,” showing his deep appreciation for his family.
Yang Joon-hyuk’s touching love for his wife and daughter, along with his emotional breakdown, will be revealed in the full broadcast of 'The Boss Has Donkey Ears.'
