A poignant farewell between two characters overcoming past traumas left a deep impression on viewers.

On the October 6th episode of MBC's 'The Season of Your Radiance' (directed by Jung Sang-hee, Kim Young-jae/written by Jo Sung-hee), aired at 9:50 PM, Song Ha-ran (played by Lee Sung-kyung) and Sun Woo-chan (played by Chae Jong-hyeop) were seen growing closer during a trip to Gyeongju, only to face an unexpected separation.

In the episode, Song Ha-ran, who had closed her heart after parting with her past lover Kang Hyuk-chan (played by Kwon Do-hyung), began to rely on Sun Woo-chan, who approached her with a proposal to be temporary neighborhood friends.

Sun Woo-chan introduced Song Ha-ran to the hopeful meaning of a rainbow, encouraging her to focus on the present rather than being trapped in past memories. Song Ha-ran responded to his kindness by completing a new fashion design inspired by the rainbow and regaining her zest for life.

However, just as their relationship was blossoming, Sun Woo-chan uncovered a hidden truth about Kang Hyuk-chan from his lost memories, realizing that he hadn't genuinely cared for Song Ha-ran. Determined to protect her, Sun Woo-chan vowed to stay by her side, creating a sense of anticipation.

On the day they were supposed to reunite, Sun Woo-chan experienced a near-collision with a truck while driving and suddenly lost contact. Overcome with anxiety, Song Ha-ran learned from Park Man-jae (played by Kang Seok-woo) that Sun Woo-chan had abruptly left for the United States, leaving her devastated.

Realizing that Sun Woo-chan had left without a proper goodbye, Song Ha-ran broke down in tears, recalling his meaningful advice to live happily even if he wasn't around. Clutching a photo of him, she wept, touching the hearts of viewers.

Meanwhile, the show also depicted a touching moment where Cha Yoo-gyeom (played by Kim Tae-young) gifted a necklace to prevent wandering to Kim Na-na (played by Lee Mi-sook), whose dementia symptoms were worsening, for the sake of her youngest granddaughter Song Ha-dam (played by Oh Ye-joo).
