Krystal Jung Takes on a New Challenge in 'How to Become a Landlord in Korea'

Krystal Jung showcases a new transformation as she navigates a whirlwind of challenges in 'How to Become a Landlord in Korea'.

Premiering on March 14, tvN's new weekend drama 'How to Become a Landlord in Korea' (hereafter 'Landlord') tells the suspenseful story of a debt-ridden landlord who gets involved in a fake kidnapping scheme to protect his family and property. The drama promises a synergy of performances from Ha Jung-woo, Im Soo-jung, Kim Jun-han, Krystal Jung, and Shim Eun-kyung, raising expectations.

Krystal Jung plays Jeon Yi-kyung, the only daughter of a wealthy real estate mogul, who assists her mother in her business. As unexpected events unfold around the building, Yi-kyung finds herself in the midst of a growing storm. We explored why Krystal joined 'Landlord' and how she developed her character.

Krystal shared, "I was intrigued because it was a project chosen by senior actors Ha Jung-woo and Im Soo-jung. The script was so captivating that I couldn't put it down, and I was immediately drawn into the story." She added, "I chose to participate because I saw the character of Jeon Yi-kyung as a new challenge."

What is it about the character of Jeon Yi-kyung that captivated Krystal? She explained, "She felt the most human and pure within the story. I found her girlish qualities to be charming."

Having lived a sheltered life, Jeon Yi-kyung faces the most dramatic changes in 'Landlord'. Krystal hinted, "Yi-kyung goes through a lot of turmoil. You'll see when you watch the drama." She continued, "This is the first time I'm portraying a character who experiences such a dynamic range of events in one project, so I pondered how to express these complex emotions effectively."
