Cha Seung-won Wraps Up 'Cha Family' with Heartfelt Farewell and Prepares for New Adventure
The final episode of tvN's real gangster sitcom 'Cha Family', which aired on the 5th, showcased the ultimate results of the kimchi survival challenge and the last stories of the team members who shared their ups and downs for a new business venture.
In this episode, Cha Seung-won displayed his signature friendly and down-to-earth charm. During games like yutnori and egg tapping held at their accommodation, he showed a childish yet endearing competitive spirit, bringing laughter as he competed with his younger teammates. Particularly, his interactions with DinDin, where they bickered but quickly reconciled over a beer, highlighted his leadership and warmth as the eldest member of the group.
In the final kimchi blind taste test, which determined the fate of their new business, Cha's culinary expertise shone through. Held at a steakhouse in Busan, his kimchi overcame an early slump to clinch a dramatic first place. The praise of being the 'best match with steak' written on the ballots brought him joy, as he exclaimed, "The truth cannot be ignored!" leaving viewers with a satisfying smile.
Having successfully completed all their business trips, Cha Seung-won expressed, "The journey towards the spicy goal was meaningful," and extended heartfelt thanks to his teammates and viewers who supported 'Cha Family'.
Cha Seung-won's journey continues this spring. He is set to appear in Coupang Play's new healing variety show 'Bonjour Bakery', premiering in May. In this show, he will take on the role of a special patissier for seniors in a rural village's 'senior dessert café'.
