Intense Showdown on 'Golden Friday': Son Bin-ah vs. Choon-gil in a Battle of Legends

'Golden Friday' promises a fiery showdown as Son Bin-ah challenges Choon-gil for the top spot in the Golden Star rankings.

The upcoming episode of TV CHOSUN's 'Golden Friday,' airing on the 6th, will feature a 'Miss & Mister Legend Special.' Iconic songs from past seasons will be revived on stage, with Son Bin-ah and Choon-gil, who are currently leading the Golden Star Scoreboard, facing off in a deathmatch.

Choon-gil has chosen Kang Jin's 'A Glass of Makgeolli,' a legendary competition song by Young Tak from 'Mr. Trot 1.' Known for his strategic performances, Choon-gil once again delivers a flawless stage with calculated pacing and seasoned expression, earning admiration from his peers who remarked, "His pitch and rhythm are as precise as AI."

In response, Son Bin-ah declares, "I will make sure to defeat him today." She has chosen Yoon Si-nae's 'Love Affair,' a favorite among trot singers and performed three times in the 'Miss & Mister Trot' series.

Notably, during 'Mr. Trot 3,' Lee Ji-hoon defeated Choon-gil with this very song, adding intrigue to the upcoming battle. With the same song but different contenders, the outcome is eagerly anticipated.

Another round will feature Chu Hyuk-jin's heartfelt performance. He has chosen Han Seung-gi's 'Lover,' a song that received immense love when performed by Kim Yong-bin, the winner of 'Mr. Trot 3.' Chu Hyuk-jin expressed his desire to perform 'Lover' during the competition, and his rendition left members nodding in agreement, saying, "Now we understand why he wanted to sing it." Anticipation builds for Chu Hyuk-jin's unique interpretation of 'Lover' and the impact it will leave.

Meanwhile, TV CHOSUN's 'Golden Friday' airs tonight (6th) at 10 PM.
