Korean actress Jeon Soo-kyung has revealed that she is currently separated from her American husband. On the October 4th episode of TV CHOSUN's variety show 'Dad and Me Season 3,' Jeon's 97-year-old father became a local superstar. From early morning, he was busy receiving calls from acquaintances. One friend praised him, saying, "Your secret to health is having a great daughter," to which Jeon's father proudly responded, "It feels like I've suddenly ascended to heaven." Watching her father's joyful life, Jeon Soo-kyung smiled, saying, "I'm seeing many sides of my father I didn't know before."

On this day, Jeon Soo-kyung went out with her father. She shared, "Last year, my father had some back pain. They said it was stenosis," and took him to an 'enzyme sauna' hoping it would help his joints. Her father enjoyed a warm nap during the sauna session. The father-daughter duo ended their outing with a foot bath, discussing health. Jeon, who had thyroid cancer surgery, recalled, "The tumor was close to my vocal cords, and they said there was a risk of nerve damage during surgery. I didn't show it, but inside I was devastated, wondering if I could ever return to the stage." Her father admitted, "I kept my worries to myself," not wanting to burden his daughter. When Jeon said, "Let's take care of our health and live well," her father humorously replied, "If I live too long, I might not be welcomed," bringing laughter.

Jeon Soo-kyung gave her father a hat gifted by her American husband, Eric. She met Eric, a hotel general manager with 16 years of experience, through a friend during her thyroid cancer battle. Currently, Eric works as a general manager in Taiwan, and the couple maintains a long-distance relationship. Jeon's father expressed his fondness for his son-in-law, saying, "He's sociable, honest, and affectionate even in my presence. I thought, 'He really loves my daughter, that's enough.'" He also boasted about the luxurious treatment he received thanks to his son-in-law's position, including being recognized by hotel staff and enjoying a suite room.

To ease her father's longing for his son-in-law, whom he hasn't seen in four years due to overseas work, Jeon arranged a video call. Before the call, she gave her father a quick English lesson, teaching him phrases like 'thank you,' 'miss you,' and 'see you soon.' Her father practiced diligently, and when the call connected, he immediately exclaimed, "Thank you very much," surprising both Jeon and Eric. Eric asked in Korean, "Do you like the hat?" but Jeon's father, eager to use his new phrases, replied, "See you soon. Okay. Daijoubu," mixing in Japanese, causing laughter in the studio. Hyun Joo-yeop commented, "He speaks three languages," impressed by the effort.

After the call, Jeon prepared a 'Mediterranean olive oil lemon sauce salad' and 'basil pesto chicken breast pasta' for her father, who loves salty food. Upon hearing the menu, Jeon Hyun-moo remarked, "There's nothing appealing," and Jeon's father seemed disappointed with the low-sodium meal. Jeon Soo-kyung appreciated her father's effort to enjoy the meal, saying, "I'm grateful that he tries to enjoy what his daughter makes." However, after Jeon left, her father cooked a spicy fish soup with chili powder and salt, ending the day with his preferred salty taste.
