Actress Park Min-young revealed that she drank over 3 liters of water daily to lose weight for her role.

In the tvN drama 'Siren', Park Min-young plays Han Seol-ah, an art auctioneer with secrets. Her character is suspected of insurance murder by investigator Cha Woo-seok (played by Wi Ha-joon) due to the mysterious deaths of her former lovers.

To fully embody her character, Park Min-young not only lost weight but also changed her lifestyle, drinking more than 3 liters of water each day during filming. This was to realistically portray Han Seol-ah's life, as described by writer Lee Young, where she survives on whiskey and water without proper meals.

The dedication resulted in a character that left a strong impression from her first appearance. Han Seol-ah's enigmatic expression while carving a wooden bird and her bold act of tearing up a forged painting heightened the intrigue. Notably, Park Min-young personally performed the wood carving, adding to the authenticity.

Park Min-young's nuanced expressions, shifting from sorrow to coldness, further piqued interest in her character. During an investigation following a death at Royal Auction, she portrayed a precarious psyche, responding calmly but with trembling breath. Her emotional range was evident when she quickly shifted from being shaken by Cha Woo-seok's questions to displaying hostility.

Park Min-young's method acting as Han Seol-ah can be seen every Monday and Tuesday at 8:50 PM on 'Siren'.
