Heartwarming Moments on 'The Return of Superman': Growing Kids and Emotional Family Reunions

The latest episode of KBS2's 'The Return of Superman' delighted viewers with the heartwarming growth of Shim Hyung-tak's son Haru and the adorable Kang Dan siblings, children of Son Min-soo and Im Ra-ra.

Aired on the 4th, episode 611 of 'The Return of Superman' featured the theme 'When Did You Grow Up So Much?' with hosts Kim Jong-min and Lalal. The episode showcased Haru's outing with his father Shim Hyung-tak to a kids' pool cafe and the 100-day celebration of the Kang Dan siblings. The show recorded a nationwide viewership rating of 3.3%, according to Nielsen Korea.

Haru took on the challenge of climbing a giant slide. At 300 days old, Haru could only watch as older kids climbed the slide, but at 372 days, he fearlessly tackled the slide, impressing everyone. Despite repeatedly sliding down midway, Haru's persistence paid off as he eventually reached the top. He paused to recharge, letting out a lion's roar for motivation, and showcased his signature 'summit dance' with a wiggle, melting hearts with his cuteness.

In his second swimming experience, 'Marine Baby' Haru demonstrated remarkable improvement, kicking with skill and smiling as he swam towards his father, captivating online aunts and uncles.

Haru also experienced his first bubble sensory play, showing curiosity as he gazed at the giant bubbles with wonder. Shim Hyung-tak was moved, saying, "It's a new expression I've seen on Haru. It's magical. I can't forget that look in his eyes."

For the Kang Dan siblings' 100-day celebration, the entire family gathered, including grandmothers, for a special event organized by father Son Min-soo. The celebration included a playful 100-day photo shoot with the family dressed in royal-themed costumes, a congratulatory call from Im Ra-ra's favorite EXO member Suho, and a heartfelt letter reading by Son Min-soo.

The family experienced a miraculous moment of becoming 'whole' as Son Min-soo used AI technology to animate photos of the children's late grandfathers. Im Ra-ra was moved to tears, saying, "I wish they could see these beautiful children," as she watched the video of her father holding Dan. Son Min-soo expressed his longing for his father, saying, "Now that I'm a dad, I understand him better, but I miss him dearly," bringing tears to viewers' eyes.
