Lee Hwi-jae Returns to TV After 4 Years with 'Immortal Songs' Appearance
On the 5th, a representative from KBS2's 'Immortal Songs' confirmed to TenAsia that "Lee Hwi-jae will indeed be appearing on 'Immortal Songs'. He will participate as a contestant in the recording scheduled for the 16th at the KBS Yeouido New Building Hall."
This particular recording will be a special episode titled '2026 Entertainment King of Kings'. Alongside Lee Hwi-jae, other celebrities such as Jo Hye-ryun, Hong Seok-cheon, Park Jun-hyung, Song Il-gook, Oh Man-seok, Kim Shin-young, and Park Sung-kwang will also grace the stage. The episode is set to air over two weeks, on the 28th and the 4th of the following month.
Lee Hwi-jae had previously moved to Canada with his family in 2022, leading to a pause in his broadcasting activities and sparking rumors of retirement. However, on the 3rd, Lee's wife, Moon Jung-won, shared an update on social media, marking his return to the public eye after nearly four years.
