Actor Kim Dong-wook recently expressed his deep affection for his craft, capturing the attention of fans.

In a video titled 'The First Gay Prince's Hidden Gem, Kim Dong-wook,' featured on broadcaster Hong Seok-cheon's YouTube channel 'Hong Seok-cheon's Jewel Box,' Kim Dong-wook made a special appearance.

Upon Kim's appearance, Hong Seok-cheon asked, "Why are you so good at acting?" Kim, a graduate of the Korea National University of Arts, humorously replied, "When you're desperate, it just happens."

Hong noted, "I've seen friends who entered the Korea National University of Arts, and many of them are introverted. I wondered if they could really act, but they transform on stage or in front of the camera." Kim agreed, sharing, "I was extremely introverted too. I didn't speak a word to my classmates, wore earphones, and closed my eyes to avoid conversations."

Hong then asked what inspired Kim to pursue acting. Kim explained, "Acting helps me channel my introverted nature." Hong commented, "It seems you find joy in it," to which Kim responded, "There are quite a few moments like that."

Hong continued, "Looking at your filmography, including 'Take Off' and 'Along with the Gods,' you have many remarkable works. Which one do you cherish the most?" Kim replied, "Though there are many, including 'The Concubine' and various dramas, it all started with the love I received from 'Coffee Prince.'"

Kim Ddol-ddol then mentioned, "'Coffee Prince' is gaining popularity again among the MZ generation. How do you feel watching your old works?" Kim admitted, "Honestly, it's embarrassing. I was 25 then, and it was my precious first drama."

Regarding Ha Jung-woo's directorial work 'Neighbors Upstairs,' Hong asked about Ha as a director. Kim praised, "As an actor, he's much more masculine and sexy, but as a director, he's gentle and considerate."

When asked about a junior actor he wishes to work with, Hong mentioned Park Ji-hoon, who is gaining attention for 'The Man Living in Our House.' Kim joked, "Are you asking me this to cast Park Ji-hoon?" eliciting laughter.
