Golf Legend Se Ri Pak Opens Up About Her Love Life on 'Secrets of Detectives'
The show 'Secrets of Detectives' left a lasting impression with an emotional first call between a father and son after 18 years, and a shocking incident caused by a mother's distorted affection for her child.
On the 100th episode of Channel A's 'Secrets of Detectives', which aired on the 2nd, viewers were captivated by a parade of real-life stories filled with laughter, tears, and shock. Host Yoo In-na expressed her gratitude, saying, "It's my first time reaching 100 episodes as a host of a program. It's all thanks to the viewers." Defconn also shared his thoughts, "I've learned a lot about human relationships and things we shouldn't experience in life. I'll work even harder, so please continue to support us."
To celebrate the 100th episode, 'Golf Queen' Se Ri Pak made a special guest appearance, heating up the atmosphere. Pak candidly shared her dating history, revealing that she never took a break from dating during her career and preferred dating older partners. She added, "I've never dated someone younger, but now I prefer younger partners," which stirred excitement in the studio.
In the 'Detective 24 Hours' segment, the story of a 20-year-old man searching for his biological father after being raised by his aunt following his parents' divorce at the age of two was featured. The detective duo first approached the biological mother, who refused to engage in conversation, leaving them shocked by her cold response. After much effort, they located the biological father, who recalled, "The conflict began when my ex-wife took our newborn to a bar where she smoked. We had a big fight over it, leading to our divorce." When the detectives suggested a meeting with his son, the father tearfully admitted, "I'm sorry, and now I live day by day as a delivery worker. If I had known, I would have saved some money..." Yoo In-na, observing the scene, expressed her sympathy, "I can't even imagine what he's feeling."
In the 'Case Notebook' segment, a shocking real-life story of a mother who cursed her own daughter using shamanism was revealed. After a divorce, the client successfully expanded her bakery business to a second location in her hometown. One day, she discovered traces of burnt talismans in her store, a knife stuck in a flowerpot outside her home, and experienced nightly nightmares. The investigation revealed that the perpetrator was none other than her own mother. The mother, concerned about her unmarried son working odd jobs under his younger sibling, was misled by a monk who claimed, "The daughter's energy must be suppressed for the son to marry." She spent 50 million won on talismans and prayers to curse her daughter. Defconn was shocked, "I can't understand cursing your own daughter."
When the son eventually found a girlfriend, the mother became even more devoted to the monk. However, the truth was even more shocking. The monk was a fraud, and the son's girlfriend was his daughter-in-law. The fake monk orchestrated a scam, using his daughter-in-law to approach parents with unmarried sons and extort money. The motive was to cover legal fees and compensation for his son, who was imprisoned for fraud. After the truth was revealed, the client severed ties with her family, sold her business and home, and started anew in a different area. Defconn commented, "Both were ruined because of the son," and Se Ri Pak criticized, "The mother's misguided upbringing led to this."
The reality-based detective drama 'Secrets of Detectives' airs every Monday at 10 PM on Channel A.
