Jeon Hyun-moo Shows Heartfelt Support for Junior Announcers on 'The Boss Has Donkey Ears'

MC Jeon Hyun-moo, who returned to KBS with a grand win at last year's Entertainment Awards for 'The Boss Has Donkey Ears,' is spreading warmth by showing special affection for his junior announcers wherever he goes.

The 346th episode of KBS2's variety show 'The Boss Has Donkey Ears' (hereafter referred to as 'The Boss') aired on the 1st and recorded a peak viewership rating of 5.2%, continuing its streak as the number one show in its time slot for 195 consecutive weeks, according to Nielsen Korea.

Accompanied by Um Ji-in, Kim Jin-woong, and Nam Hyun-jong, Jeon Hyun-moo visited the 6th floor entertainment center at KBS, reminiscing, "I used to frequently visit the 6th floor, where I had no connections, to show that ambitious male announcers have talent. It feels like returning to my alma mater after a long time."

Jeon Hyun-moo expressed his gratitude to 'The Boss' production team by delivering rice cakes, saying, "Thanks to you, I received an award." He also asked his colleague, Son Ja-yeon PD of 'The Seasons,' to take good care of announcers who are good at singing. Jeon, who once dreamed of appearing on '1 Night 2 Days' during his announcer days, also visited the '1 Night 2 Days' meeting room. He greeted PD Joo Jong-hyun warmly and promised a special appearance in the future, while actively promoting the charms of his junior announcers. He requested, "Please consider including junior announcers as an option. This year is the 'Year of Sports' with events like the North and Central America World Cup, so please give Nam Hyun-jong a chance."

Meanwhile, Jeon Hyun-moo confessed, "Because of me, a ban on dancing was imposed on KBS announcers." This was due to his sensational dance performance on 'The Song is Good,' which led to the ban. When Jeon's dance video was revealed, Park Myung-soo burst into laughter, saying, "This is crazy," while Um Ji-in added humor by saying, "It was obvious that he fell on purpose, so he had to write an explanation."

Finally, Jeon Hyun-moo visited the entertainment center director with his juniors. Director Lee Hwang-sun revealed that he had worked with Jeon on his first variety guest appearance and first MC role, recalling, "Jeon Hyun-moo was always eager to ask how he did after recordings."

Jeon proposed, "This year, I want to create content with my junior announcers," to which Um Ji-in enthusiastically responded, "Announcers are ready to do anything, be it cooking, dating, or choir." Director Lee Hwang-sun expressed interest, saying, "If I were to direct, a dating program for single announcers would be interesting," and extended an invitation to Jeon, raising expectations.
