Baek Ki-sung & Lee Eun-bi Face Challenges in Their Journey to Parenthood
On the October 2nd episode of TV Chosun's 'Joseon's Lovebirds,' the couple shared their struggles.
Baek Ki-sung revealed, "While preparing for a baby, I developed sudden hearing loss. I can't hear well and have been undergoing treatment for about three weeks."
During a brainwave test at the hospital, the doctor humorously noted, "Your brain isn't exceptionally good. You have quick reflexes, but retaining information is difficult. Your brainwaves resemble those of a woman."
At 54, Baek Ki-sung's situation was further elaborated by the doctor, who said, "There's no sexual function. It's a mix of pride and overconfidence. You wanted to show strength, but your age and physical condition couldn't keep up, leading to issues."
Baek Ki-sung confessed, "I was told to try frequently to conceive, so we had relations for eight consecutive days." The studio guests were shocked, commenting, "It's a miracle he's alive," "That's something only someone in their early 20s could do," and "He gave it his all."
Regarding Lee Eun-bi, the doctor noted, "She can't tolerate laziness. She believes hard work is a virtue, and any household she's in thrives because she keeps working. But using all her senses requires brain energy, which can hinder pregnancy. Even if a child is conceived, there might not be enough resources."
The doctor concluded, "In your current state, I advise against trying to conceive. You need to be more relaxed, mentally at ease, and practice choosing your tasks before attempting pregnancy." For the couple trying for a natural pregnancy, the doctor added, "Why haven't you tried IVF? Straining for natural conception might not be wise."
