'I Live Alone' Episode Touches Hearts with Tribute to Beloved Pet, Tops Friday Ratings

MBC's 'I Live Alone' moved audiences with a heartfelt tribute to a beloved pet, capturing the top spot in Friday's TV ratings. The episode resonated deeply with viewers, leaving a lasting impression.

Aired on the 27th of last month, the episode featured the final moments of Koo Sung-hwan's pet dog, 'Kkotbuni,' who recently crossed the rainbow bridge. The touching scenes of Kkotbuni greeting Jeon Hyun-moo and the cherished memories shared between Koo Sung-hwan and Kkotbuni conveyed the warm sentiments of the 'I Live Alone' production team.

According to Nielsen Korea on the 8th, the household rating for the previous day's broadcast of 'I Live Alone' was 6.0% in the metropolitan area, ranking first among all Friday programs. The 2054 viewership rating, a key indicator of channel competitiveness reflecting changes in media consumption, also topped the charts at 3.4%.

Meanwhile, the episode also showcased Code Kunst's trip to Busan with his close friend Lee Dong-hwi. Meeting at Seoul Station at 4:50 AM, Code Kunst couldn't help but laugh at Lee Dong-hwi's quirky fashion, joking, "Did you dress for the occasion at Seoul Station?" Lee Joo-seung quipped, "Looks like you're about to feed pigeons," while Jeon Hyun-moo added, "Isn't this a bit like a street performer?"

Code Kunst explained, "We both love block toys, and there's a unique treasure trove in Busan that we're heading to." Upon arriving in Busan, the duo explored the city, enjoying its sights and culinary delights. Guided by the shop owner, Code Kunst and Lee Dong-hwi ventured into a 'secret room' filled with rare and vintage blocks. Code Kunst was thrilled to find the elusive 'monkey block' he had been searching for. Immersed in the world of blocks, they left with their arms full of block boxes, sharing a laugh.
