Seo Jang-hoon Questions Authenticity of 'Shaman Couple' on 'Divorce Consideration Camp'
On the episode aired on the 26th, JTBC's 'Divorce Consideration Camp' revealed the household investigation of the 19th shaman couple.
Seo Jang-hoon questioned the wife, who said she 'suddenly received a shamanic ritual and chose the path of a shaman', asking, "Why would a perfectly fine person receive a shamanic ritual?"
He pointed out, "It's something you receive when you have a spiritual illness or are in an unavoidable situation, but that's not the case with the wife. It seems like she suddenly combined shamanism when her husband stopped listening to her, claiming 'something is visible, so it must be done'."
The wife explained, "I suffered from depression after three years of just raising children," but Seo Jang-hoon advised them to face reality, saying, "You two are not living normally. Money is going into a swamp, and the family is falling apart." The husband also expressed his anger, saying, "Explain clearly why you have to be a shaman. Does crying somewhere solve anything?"
The wife also visited a shaman to ask, "Do I need to receive a shamanic ritual, or is it my destiny to be a shaman?" The shaman replied, "There was a surprising story," and added, "In my opinion, it's not the destiny of a shaman," drawing attention.
Previously, the couple appeared on MBC's 'Oh Eun-young Report - Marriage Hell' in 2024, confessing to conflicts over verbal abuse after the husband left a large company, and later shared their reconciliation in a follow-up special. However, just six months later, they appeared on another network as the 'shaman couple', raising questions about their authenticity and allegations of fabrication, especially in light of past controversies involving former participants promoting their YouTube channels.
