Jisoo and Seo In-guk Bring Romance to Life in New Comedy 'Monthly Boyfriend'
'Monthly Boyfriend' is a romantic comedy that follows the story of Mirae, a webtoon PD played by Jisoo, who escapes her mundane life by subscribing to a virtual dating simulation. The series, which shares its name with the fictional dating subscription service, promises to deliver a unique blend of relatable workplace scenarios and thrilling virtual romance.
The anticipation is high as Jisoo takes on her first romantic comedy role, alongside Seo In-guk, known for his chemistry on screen. Jisoo brings her bright and lovable energy to the character of Mirae, while Seo In-guk plays Kyungnam, a colleague who disrupts Mirae's routine. The evolving relationship between Mirae and Kyungnam is expected to be a key element of the series.
Director Kim Jung-sik expressed his satisfaction with the portrayal of Mirae and Kyungnam's real-life scenes, stating, "I believe the moments when they begin to change themselves are crucial points in their relationship. Following these subtle and brave changes will be an enjoyable experience for viewers."
'Monthly Boyfriend' will be available exclusively on Netflix starting March 6.
