Despite holding numerous titles as the first and youngest in various achievements, Im Hyung-joo's mother and agency head, Helen Kim, refrains from giving compliments, believing they might lead to complacency. The most frequent phrase Im hears from his mom is "Be quiet," highlighting the lack of affectionate words between them. Im Hyung-joo expresses his frustration over his mother's reluctance to praise him, despite his yearning for her approval.

However, unbeknownst to Im Hyung-joo, Helen Kim is full of pride for her son when he's not around. At Im Hyung-joo's recital, Helen Kim is seen smiling broadly from backstage.
