In a gripping twist, 'Honor' star Choi Young-jun delivers a sigh of relief as he stands at the center of a dramatic reversal, proving to be a reliable ally.

In the ENA drama 'Honor: Her Courtroom' (hereafter 'Honor'), Choi Young-jun's character, Detective Seon-kyu, uses his sharp instincts to foresee and capture a fellow detective's betrayal, leading to a dramatic storyline. Previously, Seon-kyu discovered that his wife, Hyun-jin (played by Lee Chung-ah), had a one-night stand with her ex-boyfriend. Despite this, he decided to forgive her. Currently, Hyun-jin is pregnant, but Seon-kyu has been diagnosed with a sperm count of less than 1%, making natural conception nearly impossible.

After learning the truth about a 20-year-old case from Hyun-jin, Seon-kyu (played by Choi Young-jun) collaborates with L&J to track down the secret prostitution app 'ConnectIn'. Tension escalates as Seon-kyu, believing he has evidence against 'ConnectIn', heads to L&J with fellow detective Seung-jin (played by Jung Hee-tae), unaware that Seung-jin is an accomplice to the app.

However, everything was part of Seon-kyu's meticulous plan. When Seung-jin reveals his true colors and threatens with a gun, Seon-kyu daringly challenges him by placing the gun to his own head, shouting, "If you can't shoot, you'll die by my hand. Shoot!" This intense provocation captivated viewers. Seon-kyu then disarms Seung-jin, who hesitated to pull the trigger, and attempts to fire the gun himself, only to find it unloaded. Seon-kyu had already suspected Seung-jin's behavior and removed the bullets beforehand. Ultimately, Seon-kyu handcuffs his most trusted colleague, showcasing the cold, calculated face of a detective.

Choi Young-jun masterfully portrays the complexity of his character, balancing tenderness towards his wife with the sharpness of a detective. He intricately depicts the suspicion and deep internal conflict as he uncovers his wife's hidden past. Facing his colleague's betrayal, Choi's restrained performance builds emotional depth, making his character more three-dimensional. His unwavering determination, even amidst shock, anger, and betrayal, heightens the drama's intensity.

'Honor: Her Courtroom' airs every Monday and Tuesday at 10 PM.
