MBN's 'The King of Singers 3' Reveals Finalists After Intense Semi-Finals

The intense semi-finals of MBN's 'The King of Singers 3' have concluded, with Lee Soo-yeon, Cha Ji-yeon, Hong Ji-yoon, Koo Soo-kyung, Bin Ye-seo, Solji, Kang Hye-yeon, Kim Tae-yeon, Hong Ja, and Geum Jan-di advancing to the finals.

The 10th episode, aired on the 24th, achieved a peak viewership rating of 13.2% and a nationwide rating of 12.7%.

In this episode, the stakes were higher than ever with the second round, 'The Ultimate Turnaround Battle,' offering over 800 points, more than triple the first round. Contestants were determined to give their best solo performances, as only the top nine would advance directly to the finals based on combined scores from the semi-final rounds and public votes.

Soyoumi, who was at risk of elimination after ranking 11th in the first round, performed 'Telepathy' after receiving special training from her father. Despite her energetic retro dance performance, she received mixed reviews and scored 303 out of 390 from the celebrity judges.

Kang Hye-yeon, who caused an upset by defeating Kim Tae-yeon in the first semi-final round, delivered a charming performance with 'Flower Wind.' Despite receiving mixed feedback, she scored 303 points and expressed her emotional struggle with tears.

Hong Ja, who was in last place, performed 'Cinema Paradiso' with a heartfelt rendition that moved the audience, earning her 298 points.

Lee Soo-yeon impressed with her high notes and clear voice in 'Fate,' scoring an impressive 368 points. Meanwhile, Hong Ji-yoon captivated with a unique performance combining Korean and Japanese folk songs, earning 379 points.

Solji, initially at risk of elimination, turned the tide with an emotional performance of 'Love Is True,' scoring 380 points and taking the top spot.

Kim Tae-yeon chose 'Anarchy Blues,' showcasing her dynamic vocal control and earning 320 points.

Koo Soo-kyung delivered a powerful rock-infused performance of 'Dazzling Confession,' scoring 335 points. Bin Ye-seo, despite concerns over her song choice, scored 315 points.

Geum Jan-di performed 'Even If Shaken by the Wind and Wet by the Rain,' scoring 266 points. Cha Ji-yeon, with her commanding presence, scored 366 points with 'Lonely Lover.'

After the second round, the final rankings were announced, combining scores from the public and judges. Hong Ji-yoon topped the public vote, earning 140 points. The finalists advancing directly to the finals are Lee Soo-yeon, Cha Ji-yeon, Hong Ji-yoon, Koo Soo-kyung, Bin Ye-seo, Solji, Kang Hye-yeon, Kim Tae-yeon, and Hong Ja. Geum Jan-di, Soyoumi, and Kim Joo-yi were at risk of elimination.

In a dramatic turn, Geum Jan-di was saved by the public vote, securing the last spot in the finals.
