Actress Nam Bo-ra Reflects on Her Mother's Sacrifices on 'New Release, Pyeonstorang'
During the episode aired on the 20th, Nam Bo-ra visited an obstetrician with her mother. At 38 years old, she is considered a high-risk pregnancy. After undergoing a NIPT test, she was relieved to hear from the doctor that there were no major issues with the baby's chromosomes.
Upon hearing the baby's heartbeat, Nam Bo-ra admitted, "I get emotional every time I hear it." After completing the test, she was reassured by the doctor's words that the baby was fine and shared the good news with her husband.
Nam Bo-ra excitedly remarked, "The baby's arms and legs are so long. They could be a model or an idol." When asked if she preferred a son or daughter, her husband expressed his hope for a daughter, to which Nam Bo-ra teased, "We'll reveal it next week."
Reflecting on her childhood, Nam Bo-ra recalled being upset with her mother when her youngest sibling was born. "I wish I had been a more obedient and kind daughter," she lamented, remembering how she complained about her mother's decision to have more children.
Nam Bo-ra confessed, "My mother bravely faced childbirth despite her fears, and I regret being angry. As I prepare to become a mother, I understand her feelings better. I received many congratulations for my pregnancy, but I never once congratulated my mother."
In other news, Nam Bo-ra was awarded a presidential commendation for her volunteer work, receiving a badge and a watch. She proudly shared, "I started volunteering with my mom and ended up receiving an award."
