K-pop Star Kim Hee-chul Reveals His Romantic Past on '20th Century Hit Song'
In the 301st episode of KBS Joy's '20th Century Hit Song,' the show features groups known for having members who were considered 'first love material.' The episode is titled 'The First Love Groups We Loved Back Then.'
During the broadcast, the song 'First Love (99)' by O-24 is introduced. Released in 1999 as a follow-up track from their debut album, 'First Love' is a song with a lively yet warm melody and pure lyrics that capture the excitement of first love. The fresh image of the members combined with the song's charm made it a beloved track.
At the time of O-24's activities, music programs introduced them as a group continuing the legacy of fairy-like groups such as S.E.S. and Fin.K.L. Originally a hip-hop group known for their high-level dance performances, they didn't gain much attention until 'First Love' became popular among male students.
In the studio, cheers erupted whenever footage of the 'first love material' members was shown. Mi-joo even requested the production team not to capture her solo shots after the footage.
When asked if any of these advances were ever broadcasted, Kim Hee-chul revealed, "Many were," further intriguing the audience with his romantic disclosures. He also referred to one member as "my everything," adding to the excitement.
