Singer Yoon Tae-hwa Reveals Divorce on 'Miss Trot 4'

Singer Yoon Tae-hwa has opened up about her divorce.

On the October 19th episode of TV CHOSUN's 'Miss Trot 4', the second round of the Legend Mission featured moving performances from the contestants.

During the show, Yoon Tae-hwa chose to perform Choi Jin-hee's 'Confession', a song that expresses deep regret after a breakup.

Choi Jin-hee asked Yoon Tae-hwa why she chose the song, and Yoon Tae-hwa revealed, "After finishing 'Miss Trot 2', I got married, but after living together for a year, we went our separate ways."

Yoon Tae-hwa explained, "When 'Miss Trot 2' started, my mother fell ill, which was very difficult for me. I married my then-boyfriend, but I remained the head of my family. I had to take care of my mother, so I couldn't fulfill my role as a wife, and we decided to live our own lives after discussing it."

Yoon Tae-hwa also mentioned that she hadn't shared this with her close friends.

After Yoon Tae-hwa's performance, Kim Hee-jae commented, "I learned about Yoon Tae-hwa's story for the first time here. Her current feelings matched the lyrics perfectly. I want to support her as a colleague." Jang Yoon-jung added, "It must not have been easy to share her personal story, but her emotions were conveyed even without looking at the lyrics. Well done." The original artist, Choi Jin-hee, also praised her, saying, "It's a difficult song, but she performed it perfectly with her charm and voice."

Yoon Tae-hwa secured a spot in the top 10 of 'Miss Trot 4', finishing in 5th place after adding the national representative scores.

Born in 1990, Yoon Tae-hwa debuted in the music industry at the age of 19 in 2009. She gained recognition through appearances on 'Miss Trot 2' and 'Current King'. In March 2022, she married a non-celebrity who is eight years her senior.
