K-Pop Star Mijoo Opens Up About Past Relationships and Heartbreak
The episode featured singer Jo Hyun-ah, known as 'Jo-ren Buffett' for her investment prowess, alongside Mijoo, formerly of the girl group Lovelyz.
Jo Hyun-ah discussed her impressive stock market success, stating, "There are so many people with more money than me," but added, "I'm a long-term investor, so if I mention the percentage, it's quite high." She revealed, "I can say this: I entrusted 30 million won to a singer friend, and it was returned as 100 million won," boasting a 233% return.
Mijoo opened up about a painful past relationship, saying, "I was deeply hurt by an ex-boyfriend's betrayal. It happened a long time ago on Christmas. I couldn't meet him due to other commitments. The next day, a friend called and said, 'Our group member went out with your boyfriend on Christmas and hasn't returned yet.'"
When Mijoo confronted her boyfriend, he denied everything, saying, "Absolutely not. I swear it's not true." Despite not wanting to break up, she ended the relationship immediately.
Mijoo recounted, "He was truly a jerk. While he was professing his love to you, he was also confessing to another girl and even begged me to date him, but I refused."
She continued, "I knew everything while Hyun-ah was happily talking about her boyfriend. I told her, 'You can't be with him,' and shared all the details. I even offered to do a three-way call to confirm it was me who told her." Despite the revelation, Jo Hyun-ah admitted, "I didn't break up with him immediately," surprising everyone.
Meanwhile, Mijoo ended her public relationship with soccer player Song Bum-keun in January 2025, after nine months of dating.
