Koyote's Kim Jong-min Declares Meal Boycott on '2 Days & 1 Night'

Koyote's Kim Jong-min has declared a meal boycott.

On the episode of KBS 2TV's variety show '2 Days & 1 Night Season 4' aired on the 15th, the first story of the five members in Pohang, Gyeongsangbuk-do was revealed. The episode's viewership rating was 6.2% nationwide according to Nielsen Korea, maintaining its top spot in the same time slot. A scene where DinDin acquired the 'One Bite Meal Ticket' and hinted at its importance in the next mission recorded a peak viewership of 9.7%. The 2049 demographic rating also ranked first in the same time slot with 1.5% in the metropolitan area.

The '2 Days & 1 Night' team began filming by watching the sunrise at Homigot, a famous spot in Pohang. They showed great interest in the news of Yoo Seon-ho's dating, which was delivered the day before the recording. As the married members Kim Jong-min and Moon Se-yoon teased, DinDin joined in by saying, "Protect Seon-ho," and then asked, "Are you going to greet them this Lunar New Year?", leaving Yoo Seon-ho flustered.

After the chat, the official opening shoot began. The concept of this trip was a family trip with the members acting as five brothers during the Lunar New Year holiday, where they had to gather New Year's money for lunch together.

In the first New Year's money game 'Chaotic Family Photo' mission at the opening location, the members' frantic movements drew attention. Despite the freezing cold, they performed difficult poses to capture the photo, succeeding only twice out of five attempts, earning 10,000 won in New Year's money.

The '2 Days & 1 Night' team moved to the next mission location to challenge the second New Year's money game 'Five Brothers Family Entertainment'. In the first round 'Silent Shout', the eldest Kim Jong-min and the youngest Yoo Seon-ho stood out. Even though Kim Jong-min incorrectly described the clue 'Shin Saimdang' as "Han Seok-bong's mother", Yoo Seon-ho correctly answered, showcasing their 'perfect chemistry'.

In the second round, 'Sentence Speed Quiz', Moon Se-yoon, who acted as the quizmaster, shone. With diverse and realistic facial expressions and witty actions, he explained long sentences easily, and the members successfully caught his hints, answering consecutively.

Having secured ample New Year's money through 'Five Brothers Family Entertainment', the '2 Days & 1 Night' team moved to Jukdo Market for lunch. The five members engaged in a 'relay meal' where two had to eat and return within a time limit, decided by drawing lots.

Kim Jong-min was chosen three times in a row to eat, enjoying the fortune of having three meals for lunch. Overwhelmed by unexpected overeating, he declared, "I'm not eating," staging a rare meal boycott for the first time in 19 years, but had to go for another meal due to the rules.

After the tense lunch, the '2 Days & 1 Night' team moved to Guryongpo Market to play the 'Steamed Bun Big Bun' game, where only two could eat steamed buns and red bean porridge. Kim Jong-min, Lee Jun, and Moon Se-yoon were eliminated in turn, leaving the food to DinDin and Yoo Seon-ho.

The '2 Days & 1 Night' team then proceeded with a mission to find the location from the drama 'When the Camellia Blooms' poster, with the 'One Bite Meal Ticket' at stake for only one member. Amidst the fierce race, DinDin arrived first, securing the meal ticket.

Meanwhile, Kim Jong-min, who headed in the opposite direction of the final destination, wandered alone trying to find the location where the members gathered. On the brink of being left behind, he barely reached the destination just before moving to the next location, breathing a sigh of relief.
