MBC's New Show '1등들' Premieres with Emotional Reactions from Lee Min-jung and Heo Sung-tae

The highly anticipated performances that moved Lee Min-jung to tears and kept Heo Sung-tae glued to his seat are finally unveiled.

MBC's new variety show '1등들' premieres on the 15th, featuring 'audition enthusiast' MC Lee Min-jung, alongside MC Boom, Baek Ji-young, Heo Sung-tae, Park Ji-hyun, and Kim Chae-won (LE SSERAFIM). These 'audition experts' deliver extraordinary reactions on the show.

In the teaser, MC Lee Min-jung is seen shedding tears. Taking on her first music variety show MC role, Lee Min-jung showcased her extensive knowledge as an 'audition enthusiast' during the first recording. However, as soon as one contestant's performance began, she couldn't hold back and burst into tears. She remarked, “I cried during this performance in a past audition, and I thought I wouldn't this time, but the voice hit my tear button from the first note,” adding to the anticipation with her emotional praise.

Actor Heo Sung-tae's reaction is also noteworthy. Contrary to his charismatic on-screen persona, he displayed his 'F emotion' with a surprising charm. He commented, “I usually can't hold it for more than 2.5 hours without a bathroom break, but I've been glued to my seat for 4.5 hours now,” marveling at the performance's power that made him forget even his biological needs. Heo Sung-tae expressed his awe by saying, “I hit the jackpot today,” and felt guilty for receiving his appearance fee, raising curiosity about the mesmerizing performances.

Baek Ji-young, who has judged numerous auditions, was also thrilled by the growth of the contestants. She exclaimed, “I only imagined such a competition, never thought it would actually happen. How did you manage to gather these people?” Known for her critical judging, Baek Ji-young couldn't hide her amazement at the winners' remarkable skills, repeatedly stating, “Perfect,” and “They've grown beyond their audition days.”

Kim Chae-won, who grew up watching auditions and nurturing her dreams, expressed her admiration, saying, “It's like an auditory feast worth paying for.” Meanwhile, Park Ji-hyun, runner-up of 'Mr. Trot 2,' declared, “I became a fan today,” after watching a contestant's performance, heightening curiosity about the stage.
