KBS2's 'Beloved Bandit' Episode 13: Nam Ji-hyun's Bold Sacrifice to Protect Moon Sang-min

In a dramatic turn of events, Nam Ji-hyun's character makes a life-threatening decision to protect her beloved, played by Moon Sang-min, amidst looming threats.

On the October 14th episode of KBS2TV's 'Beloved Bandit' (directed by Ham Young-gul and Lee Ga-ram, written by Lee Sun), viewers witnessed Lee Yeol (Moon Sang-min) miraculously regain consciousness after falling off a cliff due to Im Seung-jae's (Do Sang-woo) relentless attack, thanks to the devoted care of Hong Eun-jo (Nam Ji-hyun).

In this episode, Hong Eun-jo anxiously checked on the newly awakened Lee Yeol, asking if he felt dizzy. Lee Yeol warmly greeted her, saying, "It's nice to see you again, Hong Eun-jo," confirming that she had saved him, marking a heartfelt reunion. Having regained his strength, Lee Yeol acknowledged the suffering of the people through Hong Eun-jo's eyes, confessing, "Now I understand why you turned to banditry," and vowed to stand by her side.

Lee Yeol, feigning death, launched a counterattack to uncover those behind the attempt on his life, ultimately capturing Im Seung-jae. In a shocking twist, Im Sa-hyung (Choi Won-young), Seung-jae's father, poisoned his own son to prevent the downfall of their family, reversing the situation. Im Jae-i (Hong Min-ki), grieving his brother's death, expressed his ambition, declaring, "I will have it all," while Im Sa-hyung urged him to become the sword to eliminate Lee Yeol, foreshadowing further tragedy.

Despite the crisis, Lee Yeol and Hong Eun-jo shared a brief moment of solace, enjoying a date and comforting each other. Concerned for the weakened Lee Yeol, Hong Eun-jo prepared a nourishing chicken dish, while Lee Yeol, despite teasing her about her nagging, smiled at her care. However, their peace was short-lived. Im Jae-i plotted to frame Lee Yeol for treason by manipulating the arrows of the bandit 'Gil-dong,' and a royal decree ordered Gil-dong's immediate execution, placing Lee Yeol in grave danger.

At the end of the episode, Hong Eun-jo, realizing the trap set for Lee Yeol upon seeing the wanted poster, boldly confronted Im Jae-i, declaring, "Arrest me, for I am Gil-dong," delivering a shocking cliffhanger that left viewers stunned. Her daring choice to walk into danger to protect her beloved prince raises anticipation for the unfolding storyline.
