Actor Park Sang-myun revealed that his career was significantly affected by past 'marijuana rumors.'

On the October 14th broadcast of MBN's 'Kim Joo-ha's Day & Night,' Park Sang-myun appeared as a guest.

During the show, Park reminisced about the 2010 drama 'Bread, Love and Dreams,' which surpassed a 50% viewership rating. He shared, "I was nominated for the Excellence Award at the acting awards, but it was suddenly canceled."

He recalled, "I received a notification to prepare since I was nominated. But suddenly, a rumor spread that an actor with the initial 'P' was under investigation for marijuana. The projects mentioned were similar to mine."

Park continued, "As I stayed still, the situation became serious. They didn't even reveal the real name," and added, "The broadcasting station thought I would be arrested soon."

Despite being misunderstood as a 'criminal' due to baseless rumors like "being arrested" and "under investigation," it was difficult to clear his name. Park stated, "It's strange to say 'I didn't do marijuana' when no real name was revealed. Online, it was already assumed to be me."

Ultimately, his nomination for the Excellence Award was canceled. Park expressed regret, saying, "1-2 years later, the identity of 'P' was revealed, but it was too late. I couldn't work on any projects for two years." When Kim Joo-ha asked, "Are you okay now?" Park added, "Fortunately, I move on quickly. My strength is not overthinking," drawing attention.
