Director Praises Ji Sung's Acting in 'Judge Lee Han Young'
On October 10, a press conference for the MBC Friday-Saturday drama 'Judge Lee Han Young' was held at the MBC Management Center in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul. Director Lee Jae-jin, who is in charge of the production, attended the event and shared various insights about the drama.
'Judge Lee Han Young' is a time-travel drama about a corrupt judge who, after living as a slave to a giant law firm, travels back 10 years to make new choices and bring justice to evil. The drama is based on a web novel of the same name.
Ji Sung has been cast in the role of Lee Han Young. Director Lee praised Ji Sung's acting, describing it as "excellent."
Director Lee shared, "It's hard to pinpoint a specific moment that impressed me, but there was a 'wow' moment during the script reading." He continued, "During the script reading, Ji Sung's light performance made me think, 'This is fun,' and 'This will work.' But seeing the same scene on set, I thought, 'Is he really showing it like this?' It gave me chills."
He further added, "I thought, 'He's amazing,' 'His tone changes dramatically,' and 'This actor truly shows his skills through acting,'" expressing his admiration without reservation.
Meanwhile, 'Judge Lee Han Young' started with a 4.3% viewership rating for its first episode and surpassed 10% by the fifth episode, continuously breaking its own highest ratings with each episode.
