Chef Kim Si-hyun Reveals Elite Background on 'I Live Alone'
The episode, aired on the 13th, featured Kim Si-hyun as the third guest in the 'Rainbow Horse Running' special. Host Jun Hyun-moo introduced him as an "elite chef" who has worked at all three Michelin-starred restaurants in Korea, highlighting his previous appearance on 'Black and White Chef' where he made a mark with his "Aang" pose.
The show gave viewers a glimpse into Kim's life as a seven-year veteran of living alone. His home features a simple bedroom contrasted by a large pantry in the living room. Born in 2000, Kim shared, "I've been living on my own since my senior year of high school. I moved here less than a month ago to have a bigger kitchen space for work."
Starting his career at Michelin 3-star restaurants at a young age, Kim revealed, "I had no experience when I started working right after high school. I submitted a portfolio and a letter I wrote during my school days." His graduation from the prestigious Korea Culinary Science High School impressed fellow cast member Kian84, who remarked, "You've followed an elite path."
Jun Hyun-moo expressed curiosity about Kim's breakfast choice, only to be surprised when Kim opted for ramen. "I really love ramen. Today, it's naengi doenjang ramen," Kim said, sharing his recipe. As he finished with anchovy fish sauce, Kian84 commented, "That looks delicious. I bet many people will try it."
