Controversial Chef Replaced on 'Knowing Bros' Amid Criminal Record Scandal
On October 14th at 9 PM, JTBC's 'Knowing Bros' will feature popular chefs Cheon Sang-hyun, Song Hoon, 'Chinese Cuisine Witch' Lee Moon-jung, and 'Brewing Master' Yoon Na-ra.
Originally, the recording was set to include Cheon Sang-hyun, Lee Moon-jung, Yoon Na-ra, and Lim Sung-geun. However, Lim's appearance was canceled after his six criminal convictions came to light just before the recording. Song Hoon stepped in to fill the gap.
During the show, Cheon Sang-hyun reveals, “I worked at the Blue House for over 20 years, serving five presidents. I entered as a special 10th-grade civil servant and left as a 6th-grade, being the only Blue House chef to receive a pension.” Song Hoon shares a humorous story, “I was eliminated in the '1:1 Black and White Battle' with the ingredient 'sea squirt.' While sitting at Gimpo Airport, people recognized me as the 'sea squirt chef.'”
'Chinese Cuisine Witch' Lee Moon-jung candidly admits, “In the redemption round, I presented an egg dish. With 12 white spoons, I thought at least four black spoons would join, but I was overconfident. If I knew only two would be chosen, I would have tried harder.” She adds, “I packed for a two-day trip, and even when I was loading my luggage after elimination, I couldn't believe it. I thought the production team would call me back.”
'Brewing Master' Yoon Na-ra shares, “I applied to appear on 'Black and White Chef 2.' While famous chefs received casting calls, I thought I wouldn't get one, so I applied directly.” Lee Moon-jung empathizes, “I've been in this field for a long time, and when it comes to 'Chinese cuisine,' it's me. But I didn't get a call, so I applied myself.”
Cheon Sang-hyun, Song Hoon, Lee Moon-jung, and Yoon Na-ra will compete in the 'Knowing Bros' version of 'Black and White School Meal Battle 2' with 'Korean beef' as the theme. The intense competition will determine who claims the glory of victory.
