Tension Rises as Former MLB Star Choo Shin-soo Challenges Opposing Team in 'Baseball Queen'
In the 12th episode of Channel A's 'Baseball Queen,' the legendary female team Black Queens, consisting of 15 former players, faces off against Quality Start, a team known for its strong pitching and infield defense, in their seventh official match.
Early in the game, Black Queens find themselves trailing behind Quality Start. Power hitter Lee Soo-yeon steps up to the plate and hits a ground ball, sprinting to first base but is called out by a narrow margin. Coaches Lee Dae-hyung and Yoon Seok-min shout "Safe!" from the dugout, prompting Coach Choo Shin-soo to request a video review, boldly stating, "If this is out, I'll bet my finger."
Quality Start, on the other hand, brings in an even stronger pitcher, 7-year national team veteran Shin Nu-ri, as their second substitution. With starting shortstop Joo Soo-jin out due to injury, Black Queens face increased defensive pressure, placing more weight on starting pitcher Jang Soo-young's shoulders. As an offensive opportunity arises, Coach Lee Dae-hyung urges Song Ah, "You have to do it, if you don't, we lose." All eyes are on whether 'trusted hitter' Song Ah can play the role of a problem-solver against the third pitcher.
Catch all the action on Channel A's 'Baseball Queen' airing at 10 PM on the 10th.
