Yozoh Meets Jay Park: A Potential Collaboration in the Works?

Yozoh, known as the 'Hongdae Goddess,' has publicly expressed her desire to collaborate with Jay Park, and the two finally met.

On the 343rd episode of KBS2's variety show 'The Boss Has Donkey Ears' (hereafter 'The Boss'), aired on the 8th, Kim Yoon-joo, the head of Wow Mountain Records, visited Yozoh's bookstore, which she has been running for 10 years, along with singer Jang Deul-rae. Yozoh, who has been loved as the 'Hongdae Goddess' for a long time, shared her concerns about her new album, saying, "I'm worried that the new music might not meet the expectations of the fans who have loved my music so far."

Kim Yoon-joo suggested various collaborations with stars to Yozoh. She first called singer Choi Baek-ho, but ended the call without mentioning collaboration due to his upcoming concert. She also proposed to actress Han Ye-ri but did not receive a definite answer. Watching this, Park Myung-soo made a counterproposal, saying, "I'm writing a song these days, how about a collaboration with Yozoh?" He explained that the song is about "a mother with big spending habits," to which Kim Yoon-joo humorously replied, "We should confirm how big the spending habits are in the lyrics first."

Kim Yoon-joo appeared in the waiting room of KBS2's 'The Seasons - Touching You,' hosted by her husband, 10CM's Kwon Jung-yeol, drawing attention. She was there to propose a collaboration with Jay Park, who Yozoh recently revealed she is a big fan of.

Jay Park, the head of More Vision and the creator of the first idol group 'Long Shot,' said, "I wasn't afraid of anything. It was just not easy to earn someone's trust," resonating with Kim Yoon-joo. He revealed, "I've done over 200 features without getting paid," adding, "I earn enough from other sources," which surprised everyone.

After the recording of 'The Seasons,' Kim Yoon-joo, Yozoh, and Jang Deul-rae met Jay Park. Jay Park appeared with 'Long Shot' members Oh Yul, Ryul, Woojin, and Louie, adding to the excitement. Long Shot expressed their admiration, saying, "We joined More Vision because of the CEO."

When Kim Yoon-joo asked Long Shot, "Does CEO Jay Park scold you?" the members replied, "He nags us once a day for our own good," causing laughter. Leader Oh Yul confessed, "It takes me an hour to shower," to which Jay Park responded, "I finish in 8 minutes," sparking a debate about shower times. Oh Yul shared, "When we go out to eat with the CEO, he asks what we want but ends up ordering what he wants," to which Jay Park retorted, "You should be grateful for the meal," prompting Kim Sook to comment, "He's the boss we've been looking for," bringing more laughter.

Yozoh revealed a song she made while thinking of Jay Park, increasing interest. She actively promoted the song 'Genesis,' which she created using MIDI, something she hadn't tried before. After listening to the song filled with affection for Jay Park, he responded, "Yozoh's voice itself is healing," and added, "There are many things we can do together," raising expectations for a potential collaboration.

'New Boss' Jo Seo-hyung, known as the 'Genius of Business,' showcased his charismatic boss appeal with his bold cooking style. Jo Seo-hyung, moved by the taste of his own radish salad, immediately prepared a staff meal, proving himself as a strong player in 'Bold Korean Cuisine.' While enjoying radish salad bibimbap with his staff, Jo Seo-hyung handed out red envelopes as New Year's bonuses, lifting the spirits of his employees. Euljiro branch's sous chef Lee Seul-gi commented, "CEO Jo Seo-hyung is generous with bonuses, just like his cooking style," revealing that he received about 9 million won in bonuses last time, surprising everyone. Park Myung-soo humorously asked, "Is there an age limit for new hires there?" showing keen interest.

To prepare for a collaboration dinner show with Chef Park Ga-ram, Jo Seo-hyung visited Garak Market with Yeouido branch employees, once again transforming into the 'Question Mark Killer' for added fun. Jo Seo-hyung asked new employee Jung Yeo-ho-soo, who had been with the company for four days, about cooking methods for fish he had never seen before, as well as the names of fish and the best parts of dried yellow corvina, continuously asking questions about ingredients. This was Jo Seo-hyung's way of assessing the new employee's current skills and teaching about Korean cuisine. After numerous questions, Jo Seo-hyung demonstrated, "You should debone the yellow corvina completely," and "You should generously place it on top of rice," conducting Korean cuisine education with affection for the new employee.
