Secrets of Bae Sung-jae's Love Life Revealed on 'Knowing Bros'
On the October 7th broadcast of JTBC's 'Knowing Bros', the show featured a special episode for the '2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics' with caster Bae Sung-jae, former short track speed skaters Kwak Yoon-gi and Park Seung-hee.
During the episode, Bae Sung-jae opened up about his marriage to Kim Da-young, a former announcer who is 14 years his junior.
Lee Soo-geun, who recently left the show 'Goal Girl' after five years, confessed, "I had no idea Bae was dating announcer Kim Da-young. During broadcasts, he would criticize her a lot, saying things like, 'Why is this rookie announcer not practicing? She's not skilled enough to be on air.' But behind the scenes, they were all lovey-dovey," he revealed.
Bae Sung-jae, a former SBS announcer and now a 19-year veteran sports caster, shared, "This will be my 10th Olympic broadcast," impressing everyone. When asked about his broadcasting fees, Bae explained, "As an announcer, it was part of my salary, but now I get paid per event. I don't get paid per sport. This time, I'm broadcasting almost every day, really squeezing it out," he said. Park Seung-hee jokingly guessed, "About 500 million won?" causing laughter.
Bae, whose future aspiration is to 'live long', admitted, "With such a big age gap, I do worry. I order a lot of delivery food, so my wife is concerned and prepares healthy meals for me. I've lost 7kg since getting married," he revealed. Seo Jang-hoon jokingly asked, "Do you eat again after your wife's meals?" to which Bae, surprised, admitted, "Yes," bringing more laughter.
