Mr. Kim's Drunken Pursuit of Love on 'I Am SOLO: Love Continues'

On the latest episode of ENA and SBS Plus's 'I Am SOLO: Love Continues,' Mr. Kim's intoxicated pursuit of Gukhwa took center stage.

The episode aired on the 5th, showcasing Gukhwa's growing distance from Mr. Kim due to his overwhelming advances. During a rainy conversation, 26th generation Kyungsoo and Gukhwa confirmed their mutual interest and continued their chat in the 'Room of Truth' to escape the rain. As they shared a blanket to ward off the cold, Mr. Kim watched them intently. Despite the tension, Kyungsoo and Gukhwa shared laughs over dad jokes, leaving Mr. Kim anxious about Kyungsoo's potential as a dark horse in the competition.

Unable to contain himself, Mr. Kim entered the room where Kyungsoo and Gukhwa were and complained, "Isn't this conversation too long? I had to work hard for my date, but you two seem to be getting it for free." Gukhwa's expression turned serious, prompting Mr. Kim to brush it off as a joke and leave for the common living room.

After Kyungsoo and Gukhwa returned, the group engaged in a drinking game. When 22nd generation Youngsoo, who doesn't drink, was chosen, he asked Mr. Kim to step in as a 'black knight' to drink on his behalf. Mr. Kim obliged, stating, "Since Gukhwa enjoys drinking, I wanted to show that I wouldn't back down in front of everyone." Amidst the chaos, Yongdam asked 22nd generation Sangcheol about his feelings, to which Sangcheol candidly replied that he and Baekhap had confirmed their feelings for each other. Yongdam, disappointed, flirted by saying, "If Baekhap rejects you, come to me."

Mr. Kim, who played the 'black knight' role to the end, eventually showed signs of inebriation. He confided in the other solo men, "I endured today not physically but mentally. I didn't want to appear weak to the woman I have feelings for." Later, he collapsed onto his bed, musing, "I think I did well today. I gave it my all," as he held onto hope for Gukhwa.

Meanwhile, Gukhwa, whom Mr. Kim was eagerly seeking, shared a tender moment with Kyungsoo by offering him her water, indicating a budding romance. 22nd generation Youngsoo lingered in the living room, waiting to escort Gukhwa. However, while Youngsoo was in the restroom, 28th generation Youngsoo came looking for a hangover cure for Mr. Kim, and Gukhwa offered her own to 28th generation Youngsoo, leading to a missed connection with 22nd generation Youngsoo.

Yongdam, determined to seize the moment, attempted to converse with Kyungsoo but missed the opportunity as Kyungsoo was called away for an interview. Returning to his room, Yongdam expressed his frustration to Gukhwa, saying, "Dragging things out isn't my style." Gukhwa calmly explained Kyungsoo's perspective, saying, "For him, today might just be the beginning." Understanding Kyungsoo's intentions, Yongdam finally relaxed and went to sleep.
