Hwang Jae-gyun Opens Up About Past Relationships and Thoughts on Remarriage

Baseball player Hwang Jae-gyun candidly shared his thoughts on past relationships and remarriage on the YouTube channel 'Jjanhanyoung Shin Dong-yup' featuring Ryu Hyun-jin, Bae Ji-hyun, and Son Ah-seop.

During the episode, Hwang presented a bottle of Mexican tequila as a gift. Ryu Hyun-jin commented, "I'm not a fan of sweet drinks. This is definitely aimed at women," while Son Ah-seop teased, "You know what women like," causing laughter.

Hwang, a close friend of the Ryu-Bae couple, expressed his loyalty by saying, "To Hyun-jin, you're his first love." Shin Dong-yup added, "We all married our first loves," to which Hwang responded with a wry smile, "Yes, me too," eliciting laughter.

Addressing Hwang's concerns about divorce, Shin Dong-yup reassured him, "Divorce isn't a crime, and Seo Jang-hoon always says it's a story for all of us. One in three couples ends up divorcing."

Hwang praised the Ryu-Bae marriage, stating, "They made a great match. Hyun-jin knows nothing but baseball, and he married a partner who complements him perfectly." He was particularly impressed by Bae Ji-hyun, who obtained an American agent license for Ryu, exclaiming, "Are you a genius?" and advised Son Ah-seop to find a similar partner.

When asked about his ideal type, Hwang revealed, "Friends had mixed reactions to my ex-girlfriends, some couldn't understand, while others said they were really pretty. I just like attractive women who draw me in."

Son Ah-seop added humorously, "That's true. I've seen him date polar opposites. One time it was a modest person, the next a very sexy one. He doesn't seem to have a fixed type."

Hwang jokingly remarked, "If this gets out, I might be in trouble. My thoughts on remarriage might end here," but added, "I love kids too much," explaining his desire to remarry.

Hwang Jae-gyun married T-ara's Jiyeon in December 2022 but divorced after two years.
