Actor Kim Sung-kyun Reveals Vasectomy on 'My Ugly Duckling'
On the October 1st episode of SBS's variety show 'My Ugly Duckling', viewers saw Lee Sung-min, Bae Jung-nam, Kim Jong-soo, and Kim Sung-kyun embark on a trip to Kazakhstan.
Upon arriving in Kazakhstan, the group enjoyed a unique food tour at a traditional market. Bae Jung-nam then led them to a local restaurant where they sampled a variety of dishes, including salted herring salad, pepper dumplings, stir-fried noodles, and beef potato stew.
Kim Sung-kyun married theater actress Kim Hye-jung in 2010, and they have two sons and a daughter. He shared, "My eldest is in high school, the second is in middle school, and the youngest is in fifth grade. The youngest hasn't hit puberty yet. My daughter wrote two letters for me to open on different days."
When Lee Sung-min suggested having another child, Kim Sung-kyun responded, "No way." Bae Jung-nam then revealed, "You've closed shop," to which Kim Sung-kyun retorted, "I should be the one to come out with that, not you."
Kim Sung-kyun confirmed, "Yes, it's true. It's closed. Reopening isn't an option. It used to be a tying procedure, but now they cut it." Lee Sung-min humorously added, "I know how close you and your wife are. Good decision. Otherwise, you might have had a fifth child by now."
