Gian84 and Kangnam Face Final Challenges in Arctic Marathon on 'Extreme 84'

Kangnam, who married Lee Sang-hwa in 2019, confronts his limits alongside Gian84 during an Arctic race.

On the final episode of MBC's 'Extreme 84', airing on Sunday, February 1st, viewers will witness Gian84 and Kangnam battling themselves to complete the last stretch of the Arctic marathon.

Last week, Gian84, who had been struggling with nausea during the race, managed to get back on his feet. He took deep breaths of the cold Arctic air, trying to control his nausea by eating Arctic ice and breathing deeply. As he regained his composure, he was seen tearing up, adding to the intrigue.

Kangnam, who was struggling with leg pain, repeatedly chanted his wife Lee Sang-hwa's name as he pushed forward, inspiring viewers. However, as the pain spread, he eventually collapsed, clutching his leg. Alone on the course, he wondered, "How did my wife endure such hardships for 25 years?" Despite his efforts to rise again, the pain forced him to stop, causing him distress.

Though fellow runners helped him take steps forward, Kangnam repeatedly stopped, expressing doubt by saying, "I don't think I can do it," heightening the tension for the final challenge. With Kwon Hwa-woon having successfully completed the race in 5th place last week, anticipation builds to see if Gian84 and Kangnam can overcome their final hurdles and reach the Arctic marathon finish line.

The last challenge of the Extreme Crew can be seen on 'Extreme 84', airing at 9:10 PM on Sunday, February 1st.
