Jeon Hyun-moo's Hilarious Self-Deprecating Humor on 'Jeon Hyun-moo Plan 3'
In the 16th episode aired on the 30th, Jeon Hyun-moo, along with Kwak Tube (Kwak Jun-bin) and 51-year veteran Chinese cuisine master Yeo Kyung-rae, embarked on a culinary journey in Yeosu, South Jeolla Province. The trio explored various eateries, from a renowned old Chinese restaurant acknowledged by Yeo as a 'Yeosu hidden gem' to a street food stall famous for its eel and saejogae shabu-shabu, tantalizing viewers' senses.
Jeon expressed his excitement, saying, "Today, we'll start with an old Chinese restaurant. As a judge of international food competitions, his taste evaluation will be unique." Kwak Tube, however, was apprehensive, stating, "If it's a Chinese restaurant, they might not want to serve the chef." Jeon agreed, "Being a master, it might be intimidating for the owner." Yeo lightened the mood with a pun, "I'm not a master, I'm a 'jajang' (a play on words with 'master' and 'jajangmyeon', a Korean-Chinese noodle dish)."
In the evening, the trio visited a restaurant under the Dolsan Bridge in Yeosu. Jeon remarked, "We only visit hip places," blending into the seaside street food stall atmosphere. However, surrounded by couples, Kwak Tube asked Jeon, "Why do you think Hyun-moo hasn't married yet?" Yeo speculated, "Maybe his standards are high," to which Jeon replied, "No, I believe everything happens in its own time."
As the eel shabu-shabu was served, the trio marveled at its tenderness, with comments like "It's so soft," and "I'll crave this tomorrow." Yeo, while eating a generous amount of chives known for boosting masculinity, jokingly said to Jeon, "Sorry, I've heard rumors," making Jeon slightly uncomfortable. Jeon calmly responded, "I don't need chives. I don't even want to smell them." The trio then enjoyed saejogae shabu-shabu, with Jeon showcasing his unique combination of blanched spinach and bok choy.
As the culinary journey in Yeosu with Chef Yeo concluded, the preview for the next episode teased a visit to Anyang in Gyeonggi Province, raising anticipation for the upcoming broadcast.
