Jeon Hyun-moo Opens Up About Personal Life and Career on 'Problematic Men'
On the October 29th episode of KBS2's variety show 'Problematic Men Season 2' (hereafter 'Problematic Men'), Jeon Hyun-moo, who won the Grand Prize at the '2025 KBS Entertainment Awards', was invited as a special guest for the 300th episode. The show recorded a nationwide viewership rating of 3.5%.
The hosts expressed their excitement about Jeon Hyun-moo's rare guest appearance, with Kim Sook humorously claiming credit for convincing him to join. Meanwhile, Hong Jin-kyung, a fellow 1977-born celebrity, shared a touching story about Jeon Hyun-moo's loyalty and jokingly mentioned sending him a direct message saying, "I think you're handsome," sparking laughter with a playful love line.
During his acceptance speech at the '2025 KBS Entertainment Awards', Jeon Hyun-moo mentioned his father's illness, saying, "I didn't plan to talk about it, but it just came out. He's currently hospitalized, dealing with high blood sugar, poor vascular health, and undergoing dialysis three times a week." He added, "I often drive myself to the hospital after my schedules, so I don't use my manager's car as much these days."
Song Eun-i expressed her misunderstanding, saying, "I thought you were meeting someone because you always drove your own car after recordings."
Reflecting on his prolific career, Jeon Hyun-moo shared, "I'm currently involved in 11 programs. At my busiest, I was doing 13. It's physically demanding, but I don't know what to do when I'm not working." He recounted an incident from his early career on 'Star Golden Bell' where he unintentionally upset senior host Ji Seok-jin by eyeing his position, leading to a memorable confrontation. "Ji Seok-jin scolded me during a break, saying, 'This is too much!' It's a significant event in my entertainment career, and I feel eternally sorry to him," Jeon Hyun-moo confessed.
Jeon Hyun-moo candidly discussed his personal life, saying, "It's been about three years since my last relationship. I get a lot of blind date offers, but I prefer natural encounters." He expressed his desire to participate in a dating show, saying, "I want to join as a contestant, take it seriously, and see it as my last chance."
In closing, Jeon Hyun-moo shared his aspiration to conclude his broadcasting career as a radio DJ, known as 'Moody', evoking an emotional response. He expressed gratitude, saying, "I do a lot of broadcasting, but I rarely get to talk about myself this much. It felt like being cared for, which was a refreshing change."
