Comedian Son Min-soo Reveals Frugal Past on MBC's 'Save Me! Holmes'

On Thursday, the 29th, MBC's 'Save Me! Holmes' (directed by Jung Da-hee, Nam Yoo-jung, Heo Ja-yoon, Kim Sung-nyeon) will feature Yang Se-hyung and comedian-turned-YouTuber couple Enjoy Couple, Son Min-soo and Im Ra-ra, as they embark on a mission to help newlyweds find their dream homes.

The episode addresses the reality that only about 44% of newlyweds in the country own their homes, offering practical housing guidance for those aspiring to join this group. The Enjoy Couple, who are in their fourth year of marriage, along with Yang Se-hyung, will visit homes of newlyweds who have successfully purchased their own homes, sharing valuable insights from couples ranging from newlyweds to those married for seven years.

The trio visits a home in Songpa-gu owned by a couple who achieved homeownership through the 'JJJ strategy' of saving, budgeting, and investing. The homeowners revealed they saved 80 million won, equivalent to 70-80% of their annual income, astonishing everyone. The team will explore every corner of the house, including the refrigerator, to uncover the secrets behind their success in acquiring a home in Songpa-gu.

The homeowner's meticulous budgeting habits, as shown in their detailed household ledger, left everyone amazed. Even Yang Se-hyung, known for his frugality, was impressed by the ledger that recorded even '11 won interest'.

Meanwhile, Enjoy Couple's Son Min-soo also shared his own extreme frugality stories, earning him the title of 'ultimate penny-pincher'. He revealed that during his dating days, he used blood donation rewards to pay for movie tickets and ordered bubble tea with '100% sugar, no ice' to dilute it with water and make it last longer, shocking everyone. Son Min-soo also shared a unique breakup story related to his excessive frugality, piquing curiosity about the details.
