Inside the Whirlwind Romance: 'I Am SOLO' Stars Jeong-suk and Young-chul Reveal Their Quick Path to Marriage
On the 23rd, the 'Chonjang Entertainment TV' channel released an exclusive interview with the couple.
Jeong-suk explained the reason for their swift marriage registration, saying, "Young-chul mentioned, and I don't know if this was a bit of gaslighting, but since I'm older, he said, 'If we date for a year and then prepare for marriage for another year, when will we have kids and hold the wedding?'"
She continued, "We felt that our relationship was perfectly aligned, so there was no need to adjust. We believed we would live well together after marriage. Also, dating a woman in her 30s for a long time without marriage didn't seem right. He promised to take responsibility quickly."
Young-chul added, "I confirmed my feelings in the 'Solo Nation,' and there was no reason to delay. I was the first to bring up marriage registration. I thought that was the only way I could protect her."
Jeong-suk also mentioned that their relatives were unaware of the marriage, saying, "My mom received a photo and asked if I was really getting married. Our parents knew, but none of our relatives did."
The couple also shared their wedding preparation process. Jeong-suk said, "I'm very busy with work, so Young-chul has been handling everything from invitations to household chores. He even prepares and cleans the ingredients for cooking when deliveries arrive."
Jeong-suk and Young-chul, the final couple from SBS Plus and ENA's 'I Am SOLO' Season 29, are set to marry on April 4th.
