Hur Jae, the legendary figure in Korean basketball, has become a grandfather on the latest episode of SBS's variety show 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2'.

The episode aired on the 19th, featuring the unique chemistry between Jeon Tae-poong and Hur Jae, who is revered in the Korean basketball community.

During the show, Jeon Tae-poong reflected on his previous appearance, admitting, "I was embarrassed watching last week's episode. Seeing myself come home late after drinking was different from what I thought. I've quit smoking since then and have grown closer to my wife, even kissing her more," he proudly shared.

Jeon Tae-poong invited a special guest, referred to as the 'great uncle', to his home, capturing attention. He told his three children, "Today is a special day. The great uncle is coming. He is very important to dad, so you must be polite."

The 'great uncle' turned out to be none other than Hur Jae. Their bond was formed when they met as coach and player, leading to a professional basketball league championship and even attending Jeon's wedding in the United States.

Jeon Tae-poong expressed his gratitude, saying, "With my parents living in the U.S., I have no relatives in Korea. Hur Jae helped me adapt to Korean culture and language when I was struggling. He is like a Korean father to me and a grandfather to my kids."

Hur Jae humorously reacted to being called 'grandfather' by Jeon Tae-poong, saying, "I can't even swear in front of the kids. You make me want to curse as soon as we meet," to which Jeon jokingly replied, "You're at that age, coach."

Regarding Jeon's exemplary wife, Jimi-na, Hur Jae commented, "Mina hasn't changed. She looks the same as before. Are you making japchae? Your husband loves kimchi stew, pork belly, and soju. He used to sneak them during his playing days."

When Jimi-na jokingly complained, "I heard he learned drinking and smoking from Hur Jae School," Hur Jae confessed, "I didn't quit smoking completely. I still smoke occasionally," causing laughter. Jeon Tae-poong added, "When I get caught doing something wrong, blaming it on Hur Jae School is a good excuse."

Hur Jae praised Jeon Tae-poong's improved Korean language skills but humorously added, "You've lived here for 15 years? You're still not fluent," drawing laughter.

Jeon Tae-poong urged his children, "If you want money, quickly bow," while Kim Sook noted, "Hur Jae is known for his open wallet."

Despite his surprise, Hur Jae pulled out a wad of cash from his wallet, giving each child 50,000 won. He advised, "Don't let your mom and dad take it. Never give it to them." He also gave New Year's money to Jeon Tae-poong and Jimi-na, jokingly lamenting, "I've been cleaned out," showcasing their warm mentor-mentee relationship.
