Chef Choi Gang-rok Expresses Love for 'Red Cap' Soju After Winning 'Culinary Class Wars 2'

Chef Choi Gang-rok has shown his affection for the 'Red Cap' soju, affectionately known as 'Bbalttu'.

On the 16th, an interview was conducted with Choi Gang-rok, the winner of Netflix's 'Culinary Class Wars 2', at a café located in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul. Meeting the press for the first time in 13 years, he appeared visibly nervous.

Choi Gang-rok, who was eliminated in the previous season, made a comeback this season and rose to the position of the last standing contestant. During the finals, he secured his victory with a broth dish featuring sesame tofu and soju.

On this day, Choi expressed, "Bbalttu is a personal preference. I drink it regularly. Rather than drinking low-alcohol beverages, haha, I consider it a labor drink. A glass to wrap up the day? That one glass helps me sleep," he said.

He added, "I drink it by the glass. That's the amount I need to fall asleep," which brought laughter to the scene.

He also joked, "If a soju commercial offer comes, I'd take it," and added, "During the finals, I barely ate the food. But the soju was delicious and refreshing."
