Actress Lee Elijah Stuns by Advancing to Round 3 of 'Miss Trot 4', Defeating Singer Jang Hye-ri

In a surprising turn of events, actress Lee Elijah has advanced to the third round of 'Miss Trot 4', surpassing seasoned singer Jang Hye-ri.

On the episode of TV CHOSUN's music show 'Miss Trot 4' aired on the 15th, the second round of the '1-on-1 Death Match' took place.

Lee Elijah faced off against Jang Hye-ri, a match initiated by Jang's challenge.

Before the performance, Jang provocatively asked, "You don't like that I picked you, do you?" She further taunted, "I prefer your acting over your singing. Go back to dramas. Goodbye," stirring the judges' panel. Lee Elijah responded with a calm smile.

Jang Hye-ri performed first, choosing Yang Soo-kyung's 'Love is a Cold Temptation', delivering a sensual performance complete with Latin dance.

Lee Elijah followed with Hye Eun-i's 'Rain', opting for a heartfelt and stable vocal performance.

Judge Kim Yong-bin praised, "I felt the difference an actress brings. Singing is also acting, a three-minute performance. She executed it perfectly with expressions and pronunciation, delivering the lyrics clearly."

The result was 6 votes for Jang Hye-ri and 11 for Lee Elijah, securing Lee's advancement to the third round. Judge Park Sun-joo commented, "It was thrilling to see stereotypes shattered. She showcased the unique traits of an actress beyond 100%. It's sensational for an actress to surpass a professional singer."
